ORR Safety Launches Think Pink Campaign
According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, claiming 40,610 lives each year. Even though breast cancer in men is less common, it’s predicted to claim at least 460 lives in 2017. With over 255,180 new cases diagnosed each year, breast cancer is a devastating disease that has touched many of us and our families.
To show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness, we have launched our annual Think Pink campaign. Each year employees from ORR participate in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Louisville Walk, hosted by The American Cancer Society in late October. Proceeds from the event go towards funding research and the resources to provide information about breast cancer prevention to the community. Most importantly, this event is a celebration of people, past and present, fighting together.
We also participate in “Wear it Pink” Day, a company-wide tradition, in which employees from each of our branches wear pink in support of fellow team members and our community. This is a great opportunity for our employees to come together and share their personal stories, reminding us that no matter where you are on your journey, no one walks alone.
This October, we invite you to join us in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness in the workplace. Our Think Pink eCatalog features a variety of pink personal protective equipment (PPE) products, allowing you to show support, but still stay safe on the job. Here at ORR Safety, we’re committed to keeping our customers, employees, and community safe. This includes your health.
